Franz Fischer the firstFrom army lorries to special vehicles

When Franz Fischer (I) established the transport company Franz Fischer in 1948, he laid the cornerstone for what is now Franz Fischer Spedition GmbH. Since then many things have changed. But some things have stayed the same - the willingness towards personal commitment, the flexibility of an independent, family-owned business and our close customer contact.

Expertise from the word go

Company premises from above 1960The company began to specialise in the transport of liquid goods at a very early stage. Although at the time there was no statutory regulation on transporting hazardous goods, the company learned all the ground rules about transporting liquids.

Franz Fischer senior (II.) and Franz Fischer jr. (III.) have been jointly in charge of the company for many years. This means the hand-over to the next generation is already in place. And therefore decades of experience can be projected into the future to ensure continuity and reliability.

Company premises from above 1980Today the Fischer group of companies has over 175 employees and plays an important role in the economy of the Central Weser region. The registered office of the company and its central dispatch department are located in Nienburg/Weser, Lower Saxony, between Hanover and Bremen. Further to this, the company has another site with a dispatch department for special vehicles for the natural gas and oil industry in 26197 Sage, south of Oldenburg.
